The Nanaimo Cedar Farmers' Institute strives to improve the conditions of rural life in support of prosperous and permanent settlement. We promote the theory and practice of agriculture through lectures, essays, the circulation of information and other educational methods, and to stimulate interest by exhibitions, prizes, and other means. On behalf of our members, we arrange for the purchase, distribution, or sale of commodities, supplies, or products, and generally to act on their behalf in all matters incidental to agricultural pursuits. We welcome newcomers to our area and encourage community involvement and participation in our various events, and actively encourage people to learn more about agriculture and livestock.
